Parodontology

Parodontology - the curing of gingival diseases

The swelling of the gums and bleeding can be an indication for an infectious gingival. Often this results into parodontitis. Bacteria in the mouth get stuck in biofilms on dental surfaces and gums. The length of these biofilms determine the aggressiveness and damage of the bacteria, thereby destroying roots and bones.

Finally deep gum pockets develop and the teeth loosen up and fall out. Untreated parodontitis will strain the whole organism and will have negative effects on other organs ( i.e. cardiovascular) Also Prenatal birth can be triggered. Gums need to be treated as early as possible. Our clinic consist of a staff of specialists, who will be able to help you with your needs. Subsequently the treatment success needs to be reinforced by regular teeth cleaning.

More laser treatment - less surgical measures.

Lately a lot of cases can be cured by invasive laser than surgery. It will allow for faster and safer results.

Regeneration and reconstruction of jaw bones and tissue

Progressive gum infections can not only be stopped, but in a lot of cases jawbone and tissues can even be reconstructed. As a result one is able to avoid tooth loss.

Our 4-step treatment concept.

Our 4-step concept to cure gingival diseases is aiming to provide for long term success. The most important prerequisite for a long term success rate is oral hygiene at home as well as the regular participation in our prophylaxis program with professional teeth cleaning.

Step 1: Extensive prophylaxis
Gum diseases in an early stage are easily treatable through consistent oral hygiene measures. This includes professional tooth cleaning and maintenance of gum pockets.

Step 2: Conventional "Kürettage"
In case of more progressive parodontitis it is necessary to get rid of the bacterial infection in the gingival pockets. This can be done by so called " conventional Kürettage", the cleaning and softening of the dental root.

Step 3: Treatment of infectious tissue with a laser
Heavily infected dental tissue will be carefully removed by laser. Bacteria in the dental pockets will be minimized. Subsequently the infection is no longer able to spread and the healing process can begin.

Step 4: Reconstruction of jaw bone and tissue
If tissue and jaw bones are affected or damaged, we will regrow them through micro- surgical implanting of bone marrow. After a regeneration period of 5-6 months bones and tissue will be reconstructed and healthy. Your teeth will regain their position.
